Mage-tarmforbundet (the Norwegian Gastrointestinal Association) will launch its national report #Toalettløftet (Public Toilet Initiative), mapping access to public toilets across Norway’s seven largest cities.
The initiative highlights how limited and unpredictable access to toilets affects people living with IBD and other conditions, creating barriers to participation in everyday life.
Date: 19 May 2026
Location: Rebel, Oslo
The event will bring together research, user perspectives, and public authorities to address access to toilets as a matter of accessibility, mobility, and inclusion.
Key message:
When access to toilets is uncertain, participation becomes conditional — and the city is not for everyone.
