The University of Kiel—a partner of EFCCA in a major EU-funded research project—is joining the global World IBD Day movement by illuminating two of its campus buildings in purple on 19 May 2025. 

This symbolic gesture highlights their commitment to raising awareness about IBD and supporting patients worldwide. 

It also reinforces the strong link between scientific research and patient advocacy.
