World IBD Day 2025

In 2025, as mental health takes centre stage as France’s National Cause, Crohn RCH France is marking World IBD Day (19 May) with a powerful campaign highlighting the psychological and emotional burden of Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

Under the slogan “Let’s ease the psychological and emotional burden of IBD!”, a series of events will take place across France and online.

These include a webinar on 16 May at 18:30, featuring Prof. Stéphane Nancey, Agathe Laure Salgon, and Nathaly Arnol Bertrand, focusing on the invisible mental toll of IBD.

Crohn RCH France is also offering online workshops to support wellbeing, and a special MICI Kawa session for teenagers aged 12–17 on 26 May.

As part of the awareness efforts, the association is launching the “My IBD in Emoji” challenge. Using #WorldIBDday, people are invited to share the emoji that best represents their IBD journey—raising awareness and showing solidarity by wearing purple.
