This year Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) will be joining the global campaign to raise IBD awareness on 19 May 2019.

Amongst some of the activities will be a social media campaign as well as the lighting in purple of the site where DDW takes place.

DDW is the world's largest gathering of physicians, researchers and industry in the fields of gastroenterology, hepatology, endoscopy and gastrointestinal surgery.

To celebrate the World IBD Day 2019 campaign, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation will share patient stories from all over the world on their social media and website.

Additionally, they are are planning a Twitter chat for May 19th.
