In Bosnia and Herzegovina, more than 1,450 people are living with IBD. The IBD patient association has carried out various activities this year including the illumination of the waterfall in Jajce, a famous old city in B&H. With this activity, we also wanted to symbolically remind all our citizens of the rich history of our nation.
Together with colleagues in Serbia and Montenegro, we have joined the regional project called "In Their Shoes". The project aims to show the daily difficulties and challenges that IBD patients face. We have developed an online application "In Their Shoes" and have presented it at a press conference. The application enables public health officials to experience what it is like to live with IBD, and to understand what it is like to be even briefly in our shoes.
