As in previous years, the Cypriot IBD association, CYCCA , organised two conferences, one in Limassol (23 May) and one in Nicosia (24 May) in order to mark World IBD Day. This year we invited gastroenterologists and psychologists presenting their latest work on IBD, additionally we also invited two patient’s mothers, who shared their personal experience of taking care of children with IBD.

This year CYCCA has also organized a student competition aimed to raise the awareness with the school community about the problems related to IBD and about the challenges faced by patients not only due to the nature of IBD but also to the cleanliness of public and other toilets. The award ceremony took place on May 18th. Furthermore, CYCCA organised a theater performance for children on May 11th.
