This year is the first time that the Irish Society for Colitis and Crohns Disease (ISCC) joined World IBD Day and raised awareness of IBD in Ireland.

On 15th of May we organized an awareness event in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin which furthered our aim to promote IBD along with having a patient representative present.

On May 19, the ISCC Youth Group hosted a charity zorbing event in Dublin. In conjunction with the the society the Youth Group also launched a "Top Tips" information leaflet based around the themes of well being and sport. We were also delighted to launch on this occasion our Facebook and Twitter accounts and we took the opportunity of World IBD Day to raise further awareness within the Irish media.
